Family vacations in the mountains Summer edition

In July and August, Val d’Isère unveils some incredible scenery, with lush green valleys, glaciers, lakes and waterfalls! A popular playground for our sporty friends, Val d’Isère is nonetheless within easy reach for a family holiday you won’t soon forget.

And yes, between the village, the ski area and the parks, Val d’Isère offers a range of activities and entertainment that will delight the whole family!

Come and enjoy a wide range of activities at the Centre and Manchet sports parks!

Parc des sports du Centre

Located in the center of the village, you’ll find a wide range of activities for children, including an electric car circuit, a fun park with bouncy castles and trampolines, mini golf and much more!

Parc des sports du Manchet

Located in the Manchet valley, this sports park lets you enjoy a wide range of sporting activities right in the heart of the mountains, including horseback riding with the riding school & pony club, practice golf, soccer, tennis, and much more.

Entertainment Free

All summer long, Val d’Isère offers a host of free activities for families. Children can take part in creative workshops or try their hand at various activities such as archery, trampolining, electric mountain biking, golf and much more. Tournaments are also organized: pétanque, Mölkky, video games, etc.

Guided walks and tours allow you to discover the fauna and flora of the Alps, as well as the heritage of our village.

In the evening, children’s shows and open-air concerts create a festive atmosphere.

In the footsteps of Gaston l'Aiglon

Have fun with Gaston l’Aiglon’s photo safari!

Armed with your camera, capture unforgettable memories by following the clues on Gaston’s nesting map. A fun and educational activity that will delight young and old alike.

1/ Search for the nests of Gaston l’Aiglon, Chalet des Aiglons‘ mascot. Take the whole family on an exciting stroll around the village, discovering unusual and picturesque nooks and crannies.

2/ Once you’ve found them, take a photo of yourself in the same place and posture as Gaston to imitate him. Share your adventure on social networks with #valdisere. It’s a fun activity that will help you discover the village from a new angle, while creating unique family memories.

Take a look at our many playgrounds, where your children can have fun and let off steam in a unique setting right in the middle of the mountains. Almost too easy

Tour of Lac de l’Ouillette

This quiet spot at the top of the mountain is the ideal place to spend some quality time with the family. To get there, you can take the Solaise gondola, which is free all summer. Follow the signs along the path that runs alongside the lake. You can also take the time to fish and enjoy the delicious dishes served on the terrace of the Lac de l’Ouillette restaurant.

La ferme de l'Adroit Authentic encounters

Head to the Ferme de l’Adroit for a change of scenery, and immerse yourself in an authentic world with producers who are passionate about their work, through a variety of visits: cheese-making, a visit to the cowshed where you’ll discover what goes on behind the scenes on a mountain farm. Children will be delighted to wander through the barn to meet the chickens, pigs, horses and cows. On the other side of the farm is the cheese dairy, a must for epicureans in search of good local produce.

Spend a day at the Maison de Val with your children and discover the history of Val d’Isère, the birth of the alpine ski resort and the resort’s champions in the museum.

And why not take a look at the cinema programme? This is your chance to enjoy a comedy or a cartoon with the whole family. Laughter and emotion guaranteed!

As for the mediatheque, it offers video games, board games and reading corners, the ideal place to open a book and play with the kids. Of course, you can also borrow books and games.
