Take off, admire, enjoy Paragliding above Val d'isère

Val d’Isère is a fantastic place for aerial sports like paragliding, speed-flying, speed-riding and microlight. Take-off at 2500m, at the summit of Solaise, and take in the breathtaking views. Amongst the peaks, above the village, over to the Lac du Chevril and the famous Tignes dam, you’re sure to have an unforgettable flight!

Find out how to fly in summer from the summit of Solaise

A perfect playground for our paragliders, speed-flyers and speed-riders, the mountains of Val d’Isère provide fine flying with over 700m D- altitude. The launch site is behind the reservoir near the Refuge de Solaise, and the landing area is in the Manchet valley near the L’Art des Mets restaurant. You can access the top of Solaise by car, preferably a 4×4, which takes about 20 minutes, but by far the best way is to take the Solaise gondola from the green in the village centre. After landing, you take the yellow shuttle bus back to the village. As the gondolas and the buses are free, you can make as many rotations as you like.

To try paragliding, take a tandem flight with one of our enthusiastic paragliding instructors.
