What's new at the Bike Park Val d'Isère side

Val d’Isère has established itself as a must-see destination for mountain bikers. Our Bike Park is constantly evolving, and this season offers a host of new features not to be missed. Whether you’re a fan of technical descents, VTTAE rides or looking for new sensations, explore the new routes, equipment and experiences we’ve carefully prepared for you!

What's new on

The 18 km “Val Pesto” combines the 3 green VTTAE loops around the village, and allows you to discover the different hamlets of Val d’Isère: La Daille, Le Joseray, Le Laisinant, Le Fornet and the Vallée du Manchet. To combine sport and gourmet pleasure, opt for the Boucle Gourmande offer, with tasty breaks available in all 4 corners of the village: tasting local produce, savoury snacks, sweet treats, or a well-deserved aperitif.

Several points of interest in the form of informative markers have been added along the route: culture, environment and local life are on the program.

What's new on our existing trails

  • Flowy Jumper > Formerly the Val Bleue, this mythical trail has again been improved, with new sections redesigned by the team.
  • Fée Magique > New “Col Routier”-style signage indicates your progress along the climb.
  • Popeye / Blue Lagoon / Fast Wood / Bellev’hard > They are constantly being improved (especially in autumn 2023). Like good wine, our trails improve with age!
  • Lucky Lac > Experienced E-Bike riders will understand the meaning of its name… the view is incredible!
  • Rogo Mongo > With a further 4km of fun, this E-Bike trail now extends beyond Le Fornet to Pont Saint Charles.

Space expansion

First Ride becomes the place to discover! Combining courses for learning to ride mountain bikes and ATVs with thematic and informative workshops, you’ll find everything you need on the “First Ride” website to immerse yourself in mountain bike culture and what we have to offer in Val d’Isère. This is where it all begins!

Located at the foot of the Bellevarde face, in front of the Centre Aquasportif, this new “First Ride” zone offers several themed workshops accessible on foot, grouped together along a small path:

  • The classification of Val d’Isère’s mountain bike/VTTAE trails, and the type of bike best suited to riding them
  • Body protection for each type of riding (DH, VTTAE, Enduro…)
  • Positions to adopt on your mountain bike for greater comfort and safety
  • The history of cycling through competitions in Val d’Isère
  • Major international mountain biking events
  • Sharing space in the mountains: the freedom to ride, but respect for other trail users
  • Information on the design and construction of our mountain bike trails in Val d’Isère
  • Presentation of our partner COMMENCAL
  • A mini draisienne course has been created for the very young to have fun!

Practice areas  to learn about and discover our courses

  • A flat loop made up of small, easy-to-cross wooden modules, perfect for beginners and children.
  • A mini section of our “Popeye” downhill track: by recreating a short 250m section of this track, we offer you the chance to discover this track and your first banked turns! If you’re comfortable on this mini Popeye, then the real thing won’t be any more technically challenging, just longer at 15km.
  • A mini section of our blue “Flowy Jumper” downhill run : by recreating a short 250m section of Bellevarde’s emblematic run, you’ll get a taste of its flow, and appreciate the technical level required.
  • A short, green-level VTTAE climb: you can learn to ride a VTTAE, and it’s even easier when the trail climbs on a gentle slope! This route leads to the mini Popeye, providing a short, easy loop to learn and try again…
  • A short blue-level VTTAE climb: after the green level for beginners, comes the blue level for the initiated!
