What to do in late summer in Val d’Isère? Whether you’re into hiking, adventure sports or just relaxing, there’s something for everyone!

Ski lifts Free and open Until September 1st

  • To reach the summit of Solaise, at an altitude of 2,550 meters, take the Solaise gondola (pedestrians only). This summit is perfect for hikers wishing to enjoy the tranquility of the area and the spectacular panoramic views over the village, with Lac du Chevril in the distance, or the Vallée du Manchet.
  • To reach the summit of Bellevarde, at 2,827 meters, take the Olympique cable car. The summit is accessible to both pedestrians and mountain bikers. It not only offers exceptional views, but also direct access to the Bike Park for mountain bikers.

Bike park

The Val d’Isère Bike Park is accessible via the lifts until Sunday, September 1st, 2024.

From August 25th to September 1st, Bike Park passes are available for purchase only at theTouristOffice and the Centre Aquasportif.

From September 2nd, 2024, although the lifts are closed, all Bike Park routes remain accessible by pedal. Mountain bikers can continue to explore the trails in autumn, accessing them on their own while enjoying the season’s colorful scenery.

Hiking tours

Evolution 2 Family Summer Camp August 19th to 30th

The Family Summer Camp in Val d’Isère offers a complete program for families, combining sport and mountain discovery. The camp is open to children aged 8 to 14, and includes activities such as electric mountain biking, hiking, rafting, climbing, accrobranche and fishing.

You can sign up for a full week or choose activities à la carte. The camp also includes an evening at the trapper’s camp, with a meal and storytelling around the campfire. All activities are supervised by qualified counselors.

Closed activities: Acroval, “P’tits bolides” circuit, orienteering, E-VTT initiation, electric Fat Bike with Wattsup Fat Bike, Ludoval.

Horse riding until Tuesday, August 27th

Closed activities: outdoor fitness classes, orienteering, soccer, Gel Blaster, biathlon initiation, golf practice, horseback riding, archery.
